Join us for an engaging lunch and learn session with Megan Alexander of Cohen Highley LLP (Paralegal) as we explore the ever-evolving world of the Condominium Authority Tribunal (“CAT”). Whether you’ve encountered the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT) before or are hearing about it for the first time, Megan Alexander, will offer an insightful overview of its role, jurisdiction, and the step-by-step process. Starting from how to prepare for a CAT application through to the conclusion of Adjudication. Megan will explore how the CAT has developed over time, provide some practical tips, and outline what expansion may be coming up.

Megan Alexander
Paralegal at Cohen Highley LLP
Megan practices in our Commercial Litigation and Multi-Residential Housing Group.Her Commercial Litigation practice is focused within the Small Claims Court jurisdiction, including enforcement. She represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in contract disputes and/or tortious actions.
Within the Multi-Residential Housing Group, Megan represents condominium corporations at the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT) and property managers and landlords with enforcement of arrears and damages, orders, and judgments. In addition to litigation representation, she assists with regulatory compliance and risk management strategies. In all cases, Megan works with her clients to prevent and resolve their disputes by finding practical, cost-effective and sustainable solutions. She prides herself on her open and steady communication with her clients.
Megan is a part-time professor, course creator and mentor in the Law Clerk and Paralegal Programs within the School of Public Safety at Fanshawe College, since 2015.
Megan has an Honours B.A. in Sociology from Western University, an Honours B.A. in Criminology from Western University, and she was the recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement, in the Post-Graduate Paralegal Program, at Fanshawe College.
