Meet your speakers!

Kristi Sargeant-Kerr
Kristi, a partner with Scott Petrie LLP Law Firm, specializes in all aspects of condominium law, including development, management and litigation as well as the purchase and sale of condominiums. She has extensive experience working with property managers and condominium corporations in and around the region and prides herself on finding reasonable solutions to their complex issues. Kristi was elected to the Board of Directors of the London and Area Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) at their 2017 AGM and is currently the Secretary and sits on both the Education and Communication Committees. She was appointed to the Advisory Committee of the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) from its inception in 2019 to 2024. She regularly delivers as a writer, instructor, presenter and advisor to the Board and community and has brilliantly tackled our introduction and understanding of the Condominium Act, 1998 amendments. Kristi was awarded the Leader of the Canadian Condominium Institute (LCCI) in October 2022 by the CCI-N Executive.

Madeleine Stirland
Madeleine is a licenced paralegal working primarily in condominium law, particularly administration, compliance and enforcement, and matters before the Condominium Authority Tribunal. Madeleine received a Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in History from King’s University College in 2016 and a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto in 2018. She joined Scott Petrie LLP in 2020 and became a licenced paralegal in January of 2023 after completing an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Paralegal Studies at Fanshawe College.
102 – Condominium Insurance Fundamentals - Feb 10th @ 6pm - REGISTER

Tricia Baratta
Tricia’s professional journey has been both diverse and extensive. Working as a condominium manager, restoration specialist, and condo claims advisor, she spent six years as an insurance broker and condominium specialist. Tricia’s expertise and dedication to the condominium industry have been recognized through her election to the CCI Board in 2015, where she has contributed to the chapter’s growth and success. She has shared her knowledge as an instructor both locally and provincially, as well as through her writing. In October 2022, Tricia was honoured with the Leader of the Canadian Condominium Institute (LCCI) designation by the CCI-N Executive, and she was also awarded the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) from CCI National in 2025 in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the condominium community. Since 2023, she has been serving as the President of the CCI London & Area chapter. Tricia has now returned to her roots as a property manager, bringing her wealth of experience and expertise back to the field in her role as a condominium manager with Thorne Property Management.

Michael Watson
Michael’s membership with CCI began in 2013. His amazing positive response to the invitation to stand and then to be elected to the CCI Board in 2016 was awesome. He has served as Treasurer since, a task that takes expertise and he has it. His generosity of time, expertise and management of all aspects of CCI as a non-profit organization has been so valuable to the chapter and will continue to be.

Megan Alexander
Megan practices in our Commercial Litigation and Multi-Residential Housing Group.Her Commercial Litigation practice is focused within the Small Claims Court jurisdiction, including enforcement. She represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in contract disputes and/or tortious actions.
Within the Multi-Residential Housing Group, Megan represents condominium corporations at the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT) and property managers and landlords with enforcement of arrears and damages, orders, and judgments. In addition to litigation representation, she assists with regulatory compliance and risk management strategies. In all cases, Megan works with her clients to prevent and resolve their disputes by finding practical, cost-effective and sustainable solutions. She prides herself on her open and steady communication with her clients.
Megan is a part-time professor, course creator and mentor in the Law Clerk and Paralegal Programs within the School of Public Safety at Fanshawe College, since 2015.
Megan has an Honours B.A. in Sociology from Western University, an Honours B.A. in Criminology from Western University, and she was the recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement, in the Post-Graduate Paralegal Program, at Fanshawe College.
